About Me

Hi, I’m Dylan.

I originally came from Shanghai, China, and I am currently based in Tallahassee, FL.

As a researcher passionate about understanding the brain, I am beginning my Ph.D in Neuroscience at Florida State University, where my work focuses on Cognitive Neuroscience and uncovering the neural basis of psychiatric disorders.

I graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and a B.A. in Media and Journalism, with a minor in Chemistry. My time as an undergraduate Research Assistant in the Frohlich Lab provided me with hands-on experience in cutting-edge neuroscience research. I developed a passion for studying neural oscillations and exploring innovative treatment methods through non-invasive brain stimulation. I’m continuing this line of work under the guidance of Dr. Justin Riddle in graduate school.

In addition to research, I’m committed to creative communication. I aim to bridge the gap between science and the public by finding effective ways to share scientific knowledge. My diverse skill set allows me to combine my passion for both communication and science in meaningful ways.
